It WILL be coming to R1 in season sets in the next 12 months, or have it close to now from Japan. All discs feature English and Japanese soundtracks along with subtitles for both. (And snazzy covers!) 4 eps/each 2 disc set. $62US each

Jeff, thanks for the tip. I'll probably wait for the R1 releases, though.

Hey, as a 'regional' expert, do you know of anyone doing 'Gunsmoke' on DVD? Yes, I know season sets would be expensive (the show ran for twenty seasons!), but I've really enjoyed seeing (for the first time) some of the old black-and-white episodes on the Starz/Westerns channel marathon today. I was looking forward to the daily regular broadcasts, as well, but I think they are scheduled to air at 4:00 here in California, when I am unfortunately still at work.

Ah, Lt Columbo one of the best in the 70s Mystery Movies
series.Peter Falk was cut out to be Lt Columbo, a role
made for him. Gruffy in his trademark large size trenchcoat,
always a nosy fella. Can't forget that character my favourite.Posted Image

So how do we know that it will be coming to R1 in season sets? Season sets for Columbo don't neccessarily make sense as each one is a mini movie. And it was only like 4-5 eps per season, and then the TV movies later.
I'm half human on my mother's side.

It's part of the batch that Universal announced for the US.

Has anyone heard more on this? I see that CDJapan has the R2 Jap releases for about $37, while HMV UK has some UK releases for about $20 (but only 2 titles).
