Trouble with Downloads (1 Viewer)

Whenever I select a specific type of file to download, it won’t prompt me to “Save the file” or “Open from current Location”. Instead, it will just download this file to a temp folder. How do I get it back so it asks me where I’d like to save it to? I’m using Windows 98, SE and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5. Thanks in advanced for your help.

  1. Open a folder on your hard drive (it doesn't matter which one.).
  2. Click "View".
  3. Click "Folder Options".
  4. Click the "File Types" tab.
  5. Choose the file type you want to confirm.
  6. Click the "Edit" button.
  7. Check the "Confirm open after download" option.[/list=1]
    That should work.
