I think this deserves the big :rolleyes
No shit, you wouldnt think that eating high fat, grease and salt FIVE TIMES A WEEK would get you obese and diabetic?!
Jeez... These people piss me off... Blaming others because THEY cant decide to eat healthily... The guy above says WENDY'S, wendy's has a great-tasting selection of salads there, yathink he would've chosen that over a Double-bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms and 2 beef patties?!
Dana the idea about the possible lawsuits against big fast food chains isnt that they are addictive but that the companies use advertising that is misleading. No, they don't. They show you a big greasy burger. Accurate nutritional information is available in every fast food store upon request. Nothing is misleading.
Look at Subway with their "7 grams of fat or less" bit. How is that misleading? Walk in there one day. They'll tell you exactly what you need to order to keep it under 7 grams of fat if you ask. McDonalds offering salads is not misleading, it's a choice for people who want to eat healthy. It's up to you whether you put the fatty dressing on or not. When we go to Wendy's, my wife gets a plain baked potato and a salad with no dressing. She wants to eat healthy, so she selects healthy items from the menu (I, on the other hand, am a different story alltogether). This loser who is suing could have done the same.
Personally, I think these lawyers should have their licenses revoked and be thrown out of the bar association. They have no business practicing law like this.
"I trace it all back to the high fat, grease and salt, all back to McDonald?s, Wendy?s, Burger King - there was no fast food I didn't eat, and I ate it more often than not because I was single, it was quick and I?m not a very good cook,"
Oh by Great Cthulhu's left tentacles :rolleyes
Let's see: he wants quick, easy, and good huh? Try pre-washed and packaged salad from the supermarket (where they incidentally have these amazing things called fruits and vegetables most of which can go directly from store to mouth! Amazing!) It takes no culinary skills to put a chunk of beef or chicken in the oven and cook till done and if he had a big enough chunk it would last for several days. I bet all this would be a lot cheaper than constant fast food, too. It would certainly be healthier.
What are we becoming, a nation of little lost sheep who can't think for themselves?
No, don't answer that. I know the answer and it's very despressing.
