I'll be getting a copy of it next week (my brother is bringing me a copy from Japan) and I'll post my first impressions of the graphics, sound, story and gameplay.

But from what I know, I don't think FFX is displayed anamorphically (enhanced for 16x9 TVs), rather in plain old 4:3. I could be wrong, but I'll find out next week...

I think its just 4x3. The battles would be pretty hard to play in 16x9, don't you think? If it is 4x3, then all the FMV scenes are, too, because some people say they can't tell the difference between when its the game or an FMV because of how good it looks. That would suggest that the FMV and game are both at the same size ratio. To tell the truth, I don't know. I'm just speculating. No matter what, it looks excellent.

Actually most of the FMV scenes are done in Engine.

When I said FMV, I meant the CG videos. I think that the CG videos are done at the same size as the regular game (4:3 or 16:9) but I don't know.

No, FFX is not enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
