Hello all! I am running a tournament on horror films, and the tourney will contain 256 films. I have already listed a very lengthy list of several favorites, others that couldn't be left out, and a few more. We still need quite a few films, so everyone gets three automatic entries, four nominations, and six seconds. I love horror, and look forward to doing this tourney, so please help me with your choices of films. :)

Hey Justin, I'm game for this end all be all tourney. Here's hoping you don't go through all this work and have it end the way the other one ended. And just a suggestion, you may want to put the list in alphabetical order. I know that's a lot of work, but with this many films, it's easy to get lost in your list.
My automatics
Evil Dead
Evil Dead II
Psychos in Love :)

Brian, thanks, and how'd you do that so fast? :)
Okay, I will be adding all the films that are voted in, so do you all want me to look at Brian's alphabetization (sp?) and make the list alphabetical in my first post, or do you just want me to add the votes to the list as is. I suspect the former, but just let me know. :)

Justin,
First off, I love horror flicks and I dig a good tourney, so count me in for the long haul. My advice would be to cut-and-paste Brian's list over your own list in the original post, and then just add as you go. (Alphabetizing a long list is quite simple on a program like Excel.) If you need any other assistance, just holler.
OK, here are my automatics:
Near Dark
The Omen
Orca :)
Nominations:
Hell Night
Humanoids from the Deep
Damien: Omen 2
Deep Rising
I'll second Poltergeist. (I have 5 seconds remaining.)

I'll second Hell Night A somewhat cheesy Linda Blair slasher flick, that was actually a pretty decent film that had a few creepy moments. I've seen it about 20 times :b
5 seconds left

Okay, I've updated the list. You guys have voted for some films that I can't believe I forgot to include such as NEAR DARK, EVIL DEAD, WOLFEN, and a few others.
Right now, I'm gonna skim through the list and add the words such as "the", "an", and "a" back in to make the list a small bit less confusing. ;)

Oh yeah, Scott and Erik, POLTERGEIST and NEAR DARK are already in via automatics, so you both still have six seconds. :)

Not making any nominations yet, but I'm assuming (hoping) The Haunting being refered to is the original, not remake.

Of course its the original. I can't stand the remake, but the original is a classic milestone in the genre. :)
