Hello out there. I recently purchased the CSW's Newton series sub, P1000. Initially, I paid little attention to the lack of a wide spade on the business end of the plug. Now that I unplugged it and moved it across the room, I'm perturbed over the lack of attention to this detail. I learned at a young age that you can change polarity by doing a 180 on the plug. I called CSW but there were no "engineers" around to pass me off to. They said I was the first caller ever to bring up such a concern. I had to recalibrate for polarity all over again, and because the effect is subtle (to me), it took 20 minutes to achieve. Has anyone else questioned this apparent manufacturing flaw? Maybe there is internal circuitry which reads the polarity and adjusts the phase (right!).
