I don't have any of these, but everything I've read about them states that the prints used are awful and the English subtitles aren't that good.

Thanks for the warning re: quality. I was just ecstatic to see some of the less well-known Kurosawa in *any* shape or form. I've already ordered Madadayo, which I needed, period (long story, but I'm doing a paper on ageing and need it as a reference, regardless of quality). Since it has cost me 8 pounds (incl postage) I'm not too worried re: costs in this case. However, I'll scrutinise it before ordering any more.
