You know what makes me confused as to the timeline of the logos for Walt Disney Television, is that for 10 years this company had two different logos in use at the same time, depending on if the program aired on network TV (The Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Wuzzles) or syndication (DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin).
1985 also saw the use of the Buena Vista Television logo ("Buena Vista" was Walt Disney's distribution arm for years, which he named after Lake Buena Vista in FL), which you could see at the end of such shows like The Golden Girls and Empty Nest. The "Rainbow Castle" logo (originally on a dark blue background) was created for both outfits. . . I remember it from DuckTales: it started with Walt Disney Television but crossfades into the Buena Vista Television logo, with "Distributed by" placed above. Later reruns may have the logo fade out before the crossfade into BVTV.
The 1990 version of the Rainbow Castle (on a black background) had the Walt Disney logo in the same Times New Roman font as the Buena Vista Television logo. It was the original logo at the end of these Disney Afternoon shows: TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop and Bonkers. The BVTV version of the logo was originally seen on 1990-92 episodes of The Golden Girls and Empty Nest, and on all episodes of Blossom.
