At long last! Hope it looks a little better than the import.

I hope so, too. The import is only okay because the DVD was of VHS quality. I have pre-ordered pending future news.

So, I'm guessing this is the full 382 min unedited version that originally ran in 1977?

Oh boy. Here we go again!

I'll definitely be waiting for some reviews on this. I watched the import Blu just a few months ago.

Now if we can just get a press release on this to indicate the details of the release. I'm sure the biggest question is if the entire original showing will be included.

The blu ray cover posted shows "the complete mini series" so there doesn't seem a reason to doubt it won't be.

Amazon is listing the February 23, 2016 release as 382 minutes. I know, I know about Amazon and their errors.

That doesn't say anything.

The Mexican Bluray also says it's complete, but its cut.

Which reminds me:

The spine of this US release, says itv studios.

The same logo is on the cut Mexican release too!!!

The Complete Spanish release (version 2) doesn't have this logo.

shout! factory did an excellent job with their recent 'rogers and hammerstein's cinderella' dvd,

that's video tape masters circa 1964.

they got a hold of the source material & provided a clean, richly colored transfer.

if they should score the source materials & do as decent a job with 'JON' as they did with 'cinderella' i will buy again!

because i love Love LOVE this miniseries!!

Amazon says this will be fullscreen and widescreen -- is that possible?

I always hoped that a WS version would be made available. After all, it was shown in theaters in Europe.

Unfortunately the Shout release will be as it seems the cut version! :(

Read the comments here:

Do you think they could track down the lost scenes and put them back in, as did the Spanish who released a Version 2 Bluray with the cut scenes back in?

If not, then that Spanish Bluray will be the ONLY one available worldwide that features the uncut Jesus of Nazareth.

I post again here the video of what is missing (which is most important in my opinion, at least the Last supper scene):

It's the 8.15 first minutes of this:
