I have to say I'm glad to see this announcement (and the ones for Flash and Gotham), because it says to me that, for at least the next year, Warner will be issuing the shows on blu-ray. I can't say I feel as confident about other shows (such as the Marvel shows, which had a (IMO) disastrous exclusive deal with Amazon this year for the blu-rays, which suggests a very weak interest on their part in selling physical media).
So, cheers to Warner for "making the promise" that Flash/Arrow/Gotham (and presumably Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow) will be released on blu-ray.
