I appreciate CBS giving the show a finale. It did tie up some lose threads. Would be cool if they had brought back some of the secondary tech people who were regulars during the first few seasons. Thought they might get Greg and Morgan together.

One thing CSI (all of them) and other crime shows. When showing possible suspects...don't show unknown actors then one more well known actor. It's always the well known actor who is the bad guy. Tonight's episode was no exception.

Interesting finale. Made sense for the direction of the plot premise as a way to get Grissom back. I was only confused by one thing, I guess I missed a few episodes. What happened to Finley? I saw the cliffhanger where the killer got her. But I must have missed the conclusion. Obviously she died.

I was happy to see how series ended for Grissom and Sara. And while implied, I guess Catherine became the new lab director.

By the way, I expected to see Stokes pop up somewhere. And Hodges didn't get back with Wendy, too bad.

I kind of lost track of this series having dropped it a few years ago but decided to watch the finale for old time's sake. I was somewhat surprised that Stokes was gone. The episode was okay, but having moved on it didn't really resonate very strongly with me. The main attraction for me was seeing Grissom again. That was kind of fun. I liked the idea of an unconventional lifestyle for the character after leaving Vegas.

I thought it was all right for a send-off 2-hour episode just to give the fans some closure on the core group (sans Stokes).

Don't know the dynamics behind it, but really, George Eads (Nick) has been there from the beginning and he's not part of it? Greg? And overall not really a particularly exciting storyline. Most shows try to go out on a "high", this went out on a "blah".

It wa son my der. I watched it. Meh. It just confirmed my desire to drop the show after the first season.

Also, was that Ted Danson?

Crazy.

It seems most series finales disappoint. I thought it was a great wrap up to the series. It focused on the original central characters. And it was great Peterson as Grissom and and Marg as Catherine came back to be part of the story. Lady Heather was a big on going character and was a big part of Grissom's life. So it all made sense and it was very nice to see the very last shot of the boat. They have closure.

I actually thought that Stokes might have been the corpse in the case. I didn't know till later Eads opted out. He had to do what he had to do. I bet his part might have been the minor role in the beginning when the cops catch Grissom on the boat and the shark fins and was there to help Grissom be released to return to Vegas since Stokes is the lead CSI in San Diego, where the shark fin boat was.

It was better then the Star Trek Enterprise finale where the focus wasn't on them, but on The Next Generation characters Riker and Troi. They could have featured Ted Danson and Elisabeth Shue more over Peterson's return.

I liked that it went back to the old style CSI episodes where Grissom's knowledge of insects helped, figuring things out in some weirdo but brilliant way (with the bomb) and the mental showdown with the villain at the end.

This isn't the type of show where the finale is about the characters achieving a main goal (there's no island for them to escape from or meth dealing to get away with) so it's tough to have definitive endings for everyone. Catherine, Greg, Doc Robbins, Morgan, etc. will all be going to work the next day so focusing primarily on Grissom and Sara's happy ending was the best move possible.

I don't remember Finley dying either but when D.B. was packing to leave he had a "in memory of" Finley plaque with a date of February 15, 2015 on it.

Last season's finale ended on a cliffhanger with Finley in a coma - not knowing if she would live or die. That was broadcast Feb 15. I guess when Elizabeth Shue declined to return for this episode, it sealed Finley's fate.

I really liked the finale.

I was a huge fan of the show when Wiliam Petersen was the lead, but I started losing interest when Laurence Fishburne took over (great actor, but I missed Grissom), and finally checked out when Ted Danson joined. So for me, it was a huge thrill just seeing as much of the old gang back as possible.

I would gladly take a spinoff show of Grissom solving sea crimes!

Enjoyed CSI Cyber with Patricia Arquette, but now they're transferring DB (Ted Danson) into the cast? Yuck. I think he's partially to blame for the original CSI ending, he's awful in that part, and now he arrives to probably destroy Cyber.

The show doesn't need him and I'm seeing cancellation after this season. Why take a fairly decent show and add his character into the mix. Big mistake.

Just watched this finale and it was awful. Nothing worked as it should have and everyone looked like a secondary character, past their prime. They should have never made this. Probably the weak story made it even worse. 5/10 at best.
