Disney's live action/CGI 'The Jungle Book' hits theaters next Spring.

They have an impressive cast for the voices of the animals, and I think it looks like it could be great.

Could be a winner. Looks like a top notch cast and crew.

From what I've seen/read/heard about this movie, "CGI/live action" might be a more apt description. The boy is about the only non-CGI element in the film. It was entirely shot in an LA studio.

It looks amazing.

And it will be shown in 3D Imax. Interesting to see how that plays out on Blu-ray.

The trailer is impressive. Maybe they've finally gotten this right in a (a least partly) live-action update. But, caution, no 3-D Blu-ray has been released from a "Disney" -labeled movie for well over a year. Hopefully, this will be an exception. Otherwise, again hopefully, there is still Europe...

Having heard her in Her, I swear I would totally watch a completely black movie of her reading the phone book and enjoy it!

Can't wait!

How many versions of this do we need?

When Sabu did it in 1942 (in Technicolor, no less), the animals were all real. Look how far we've come. What's next? Virtual zoos? :(

The Sabu 3-strip Technicolor was a classic (I already have the Network DVD and the SchröderMedia German Blu-ray is in transit)

The Disney animation was a classic (I have the Blu-ray and VHS)

This new release trailer looks promising and if it turns out to be a great rendition, it'll be a welcome addition and (for me) won't take anything away from the earlier tellings.

[This is not like Spiderman, which seems to have a reboot cycle of what? ...5 years?]
