many thanks in advance for helping a newbie.

I currently have 2 older (non HDMI/wireless/Bluetooth) receivers powering the in house speakers in my home.

they both work fine and are connected to the respective TV's/DVDs etc that they support via either digital or component connections

I recently purchased a pioneer soundbar that has Bluetooth/digital or analog inputs available (this also works great & is hardwired to my newest TV)

To use Pandora/etc on my iphone/ipad right now I have a 3.5 headphone jack split first and then connected to 2 component audio output cables (elegant I know)... make all the jokes you like

Despite the fact that its 2015, and the answer here is most likely "Get sonos"/"get new receivers,"

I was wondering:

Is there a more effective way to connect an I-device to multiple component audio outputs?? (receiver or older docking station is fine with me)

Best buy staff has been completely awful despite the $ I've dropped there for 2 TVs & sound bars, that geek squad is about as useful as a third shoelace...

thanks all!

Hey Mike, welcome to the Forum!

Not sure I get what you’re asking, and you didn’t indicate if you wanted to connect the iphone or ipad to your new soundbar or your older receiver(s). Does “Is there a more effective way to connect an I-device to multiple component audio outputs??” mean you’re trying to connect your i-device to both your receivers and the soundbar at the same time? If so, common splitters can be used.

I'm uncertain if you want to switch the iPad / iPhone between three different speaker systems (two relievers and the sound bar), or some subset.

My thought was to use receiver pre-outs to connect directly to the soundbar, connect the iPad to the receiver, and toggle which speaker output the receiver goes to.

But the second reliever is a complication I don't understand.

Maybe you want a handful of these Bluetooth adapters?
