Very exciting, and very good to see that The Mask, a movie I personally have much enjoyed, is being championed by important figures in Canadian film preservation. I am so heartened to see their enlightened attitudes toward genre works.

That said, my loudest cheers go to you, Bob, and to Greg Kintz. I know the level of genuine care you two put into all your projects together.

I want you to know, I have this "phantom itch" in my index finger, waiting for the moment when I can click on Amazon for my two copies. :)

Kino revealed the Blu-ray cover here. The cover boasts "Electro-magic Sound a new dimension in stereophonics". Does this mean the disc will be in stereo? How many channels?

If you look at both IMDb and Wikipedia, they both indicate that "Electro-Magic Sound" revers to the film's electronic musical score. Sound mix appears to be mono.

I have a pretty good 3-D setup, but I was wondering about this release. Since the 3-D comes and goes throughout the film and I have a JVC projector with rechargeable glasses that lock into the 3-D image once a little side button in the ear piece is pushed if this would be a problem with quickly putting them on and taking them off. I ask this is because if the 3-D emitter is telling the glasses a 3-D image is not present, it shuts off the glasses. Often it takes several "tries" to get the glasses activated with the 3-D image, so I am hoping they can remain "active" throughout the film and not have to fuss with getting a 3-D image back on.

Bob can confirm, but I believe the final disc *will* be authored in such a way that the 3-D is 'on' throughout to eliminate the potential problem you mention. When I saw his test disc it was authored that way and the glasses stayed locked and on the whole time.

The Robert Rodriguez 3D features Spy Kids 3D and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3D were authored in this fashion, as was The Flesh and Blood show. It's quite effective.
