Hello.

I want to put the subwoofers of my home cinema in a hidden place, as you can see in the picture the idea is build an structure into the wall.

Option A: apart from the inner space, i will put a surface of 4cm of height in contact with the floor to avoid hitting the subwoofer with the feet.

Option B: is in direct contact with the floor.

The entire structure is made of wood and drywall.

Is this a workable idea?
Thanks!

I can’t think of a reason why one option would work over the other. However, it would be a good idea to get the subs in the room to take some frequency response measurements, to determine if those locations are viable. You want them at locations that minimize nulls.

By the way, unless you are installing risers in the room, your screen is too high. It should be at eye level, or only slightly above.

If going through all that trouble...

Why not in-wall subwoofers? (cult of the infinitely baffled)

And why not an AT screen?
