A Few Words About A few words about...™ Psycho Beach Party -- in BD (1 Viewer)

Strand Releasing has issued Robert Lee King's Psycho Beach Party, which does a nice low-budget blend of those great '60s beach epics, crossed with low-budget psycho dramas, with a bit of, well more than a bit of a gay, transgender vibe thrown in.

There's something here for everyone to love.  I actually appreciated the first minute or so, and then things started to go downhill.

Nevertheless, there's an audience for the film, and the Blu-ray looks terrific.  Lauren Ambrose, who made the film early in her career, gets top billing, and does a fun job playing a slightly off-kilter virgin amongst the not so virginal beach-partyers.

This is another one of the B pictures, that always seems to find a audience.  If its your cup of sand, you'll be pleased with the Blu presentation.

Count me as someone that enjoys this film, but even I think removing about 20 minutes *might* help improve it.


I am glad to know that the Blu-ray is of blu-ray image and sound quality, making it a worthy of upgrade for me.
