Does anyone know if this title is indeed region A/B?

I know nothing about this disc. Are you sure it's not a bootleg? So many Blu-ray discs from Spain are. The Eureka disc from U. K. is Zone B locked.

It's true that the UK disc is officially Region B locked, but it will play on some Region A players using the Stop-Top Menu trick. I've tested it on my own Panasonic region free player while in Region A mode. So if you have a Panasonic player the UK disc is the wiser option.

Is this the film that had the aspect ratio problems in the US release? Are the European disks correct?

The film is 1.33 aspect ratio from 1945, what aspect ratio problems are you talking about? I have the Eureka BD and its 1.33 and so is the Region 1 Universal DVD.

I just remembered it was Marty that I was thinking of, not Lost Weekend.
