After 11 wonderful years with our BenQ 8700, it has died and we are looking to replace it. We would like not to change out all our wiring in the attic. The 8700 had a DVI connection and Red/Green/Blue component cable connections.

The DVI goes to a Blu Ray LG DVD player (with a DVI/HDMI adapter). The Component cable (Red/Blue/Green) goes to

our Satellite receiver. We also have an Onkyo Receiver. We have Dalite 110 diagonal screen. The projector is 12'5" from the screen. The actual screen width (white area) is 96" and total width with black area is 100".

Called BenQ and they recommended the new HC1200 as a replacement for us but after investigation I found that the

HC1200 doesn't have component (red/green/blue) connection. We are now looking at the Benq HT1075.

Questions: Do you think the HT1075 is a good choice? Will it work with the distance to the screen? Is it worthwhile

to keep our present cabling or should we bite the bullet and rewire everything. Any recommendations you have are

really appreciated.

After doing the projection calculator, it appears the Benq may not work. The Epson PowerLite 3500 I believe will work and has

Red/Blue/Green connection.

Update: Called Benq and they said HT1075 will not work with our screen. They said to change all cabling to HDMI and

buy the HC1200. Any ideas?
