This series of Blu-ray releases is some of the highest quality restoration of a high-quality TV show at amazingly affordable prices.

You know, there are a lot of concerns about whether or not this release will really happen. The DVD set for season 7 has been announced and a complete series DVD set (with artwork) has been announced...but nothing yet from Lionsgate on this Blu-ray release.

But, it has dropped from $24.99 to $22.49 (it usually ends up down to $17.89).

And...it is currently ranked 54th on Amazon's Blu-ray Drama category. And that's not just TV shows. That's movies, too. These Blu seasons of LHotP have GOT to be selling well enough for them to continue until they are completed.

I noticed that too, as I saved it on my Wish List and it now says "This title is no longer available". I hope they are not discontinuing the Blu versions with only a few seasons left.

I'm not using an ad blocker on my iPad, but I don't see the link. I can get it on my computer, but I wonder why it isn't showing on here?

I'd have to disagree based on the decision to change approaches to go Amazon exclusive and MOD with the blu-rays. Also, based on the quickness to announce the new approach, I'd guess they scrambled to come up with a new alternative that was less risky and could work for them financially based on all the negative feedback.

This really seems like a reaction to the consumer outcry...which ain't a bad thing. But this definitely isn't an extension of what they had been doing.

Can someone please answer this for me? The corresponding DVD release of Season 7 (and Season 8) also featured 2 tele-movies. Do this release also contain those same two extras? TIA!

Season 7 on DVD didn't have any movies with it. Season 8 on DVD has two movies and Season 9 has one. I'm hoping 8 and 9 on Blu-ray also have the movies when they are released, but it hasn't been confirmed.

Thanks for the corrected info. For some reason, I was under the impression that the last three seasons on DVD had one movie each.

Seasons 7, 8, and 9 are now all $12.99 at Amazon. That is very cheap.
