Presumably though, this is just a repackaging of the 2012 50th set, minus the pointless 'bonus' disc, and with Skyfall's disc art now matching the others...
Agree. I am quite happy with the Bond 50 set I got for $99 during an Amazon sale a few years ago. Until they do a new remastered set, I'll stick with it.Persianimmortal said:I have to agree that the packaging looks quite nice and far more shelf-friendly. Fortunately I have all the Bonds I want, so I'll pass.
If they did new transfers I would buy!!!Worth said:I think it's possible these will be reissued with new transfers in the not too distant future. I mentioned this in another thread, but I caught a recent screening of The Man with the Golden Gun and the DCP was sourced from a master superior to that of the blu-ray - much more filmlike with natural looking grain levels.
Here is a look at the steelbook a courtesy of 007.com.Patrick Donahue said:They are also releasing some nice looking steelbooks but only for the 6 films that feature Spectre...
I like how 007.com makes mention of the fact that the steelbooks are of the films the feature Spectre and yet they leave out Dr. No which introduces the organization (Dr. No is even mention as an agent in one of the steelbooked films)...Osato said:Here is a look at the steelbook a courtesy of 007.com. https://amp.twimg.com/v/c5f65929-ca9e-47aa-a922-f469de42c27d
Maybe for the Moore sets they will divide the spy who loved me across 2 sets? Part 1 on set 1 and part 2 on set 2. Do a batman 66 cliffhanger!!! : )Kyrsten Brad said:Finally a half decent offering of The Roger Moore Collections and they finally got the Pierce Brosnan Collection right.
I went with the actor sets when building my James Bond library but until this offering, good luck finding the Roger Moore sets.
Still considering scrapping my current hodgepodge and buying either this Ultimate Collection or if a nice deal pops up on the 50th Anniversary Set
