So I started watching season 3. They say they have only been in the dome for 3 weeks....3 weeks are you kidding me?!? The way they were acting about supplies last few seasons. It has to be months if not years. Also, the population of the town is supposed to be over 1000. Yet, it seems like their is only around 50.

I haven't seen the new episodes yet but in the previous years, each episode was a day or less so three weeks would be correct. Definitely no more than a month.

That's fine. But, the way these people are acting...you would think it's been a lot longer.

Plus, the population has decreased dramatically.

It's almost like they are making it up as they go along. I give up on this show.
They are. The only connections between this show and the original novel are the title, a couple character names, and the dome. Other than that the show runners are making up their own story, not adapting Stephen King's.

This show has been and contiues to be one of the worst shows overall I have ever seen on network TV. It has been down right horrid and I can't believe this is season three for the show. I stopped watching LONG ago and just read the show summary online that takes only a few minutes and skip the wasted time involved in actually watching it.

Nothing about the show makes any kind of sense and yes they were acting like rations were running out and everyone was in danger from starvation or the elements. If it's only been a few weeks, you could ration the food they had MUCH longer and even use some of the crops, tree leaves, insects, etc. for when things got REALLY bad. I can't believe King would have anything to do with this total train wreck. All I can say is I will read a very brief summary when I remember to and spend my time elsewhere.

I agree, Jeffery. I tried to think of a worse show on the major networks (excluding reality TV), and I could not think of a single one. The book was horrid, too.

For those looking for a GREAT show that's new, you should check out Wayward Pines. I'm hooked and think it may be one of the best shows since Lost or The Walking Dead. The overall quality of the show is impressive, the scripts and acting are just as excellent. Can't believe how it pulled me in and I can't wait for another season if they make one. Personally, I think it's one of the best shows I've seen in a long while, network TV or otherwise.

From a review by Grady Hendrix at tor.com

"Like some hideous viral infection, Under the Dome drew to a messy yet terminal conclusion at the end of Season 2, but now it’s come raging back with a vengeance as Season 3 explodes out of television’s collective gullet, splattering its remaining viewers in the face with a steaming stew of undigested tropes from other shows, half-baked acting, and undercooked plotlines, like some kind of insane Linda Blair possessed by the demon of crummy Lost knock-offs."

I'm going to keep up with it, but it's definitely a very screwed up story.

Never read the book, but it's rare that King novels translate well to the screen. From what people are saying this has gone way beyond his novel and I must agree with others, it seems like they're making it up as they go, just to keep things going.

I doubt very much it will be back next year.

I watch with my wife. We both are not liking where its going this season. Besides the complaints I brought up earlier. This whole plot line is just too strange. They should have just made this a mini-series and followed closer to the book. Would have made for a better show

You must be kidding right? Sure, anything that would have cut this show very short is more palitable. But even then, there is not one single redeeming factor about it. It would still have truly horrid acting, especially those kids, not to mention the script writing. You could literally get anyone off the street to act on that show that would be just as good or better and the same nearly goes for everything else too.

The only thing keeping me going is that it looks like the world outside the dome will be destroyed. Whats worse is you know this show will leave on a cliff-hanger and then be cancelled.

I really enjoyed the first season. Every season since has been utter crap. Is the book any better?
