So far, two. HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL and MR. SARDONICUS. Both terrific transfers, one from Warner Bros. and the other from Mill Creek via Sony.

That leaves over a dozen post-1957 titles missing-in-action (he made scores of films prior to 1958, but none that could be deemed part of his "popular" catalog except for The Whistler series, which is being released on DVD).

From 1958 forward:

MACABRE (HD master available)

THE TINGLER (HD master available)

13 GHOSTS

HOMICIDAL

STRAIT JACKET (HD master available)

THE NIGHT WALKER (Never released to DVD or Blu-ray)

I SAW WHAT YOU DID (Pitiful 1.33:1 DVD -- released pretty recently -- from the Universal Vault series. Earlier Anchor Bay release was non-anamorphic, but at least it was widescreen).

Those are the ones I'm interested in, but others here would add to that list. Kind of pathetic show for such a popular showman. Who will step up to the plate?

FORT TI

DRUMS OF TAHITI

JESSE JAMES VS. THE DALTONS

To tie a William Castle Blu-Ray box set together, what could be better than a Blu-Ray of "Spine Tingler! The William Castle Story", Jeffrey Schwarz's fine documentary? There are lots of extras on the DVD too, all of which would naturally fit on the Blu-Ray, with room for more.

The Columbia films from the earlier boxed set have the best chance of getting re-released in HD in the future by Mill Creek or other companies.

Also, I might be one of the few that has The Busy Body near the top of his list.

There's actually two more out on Blu; here's the rundown (as far as I know):

The Americano (1955) - Olive Films

House on Haunted Hill (1959) - Shout/Scream Factory

Mr. Sardonicus (1961) - Sony/Mill Creek

The Spirit is Willing (1967) - Olive Films

Project X (1968) - Olive Films

Shanks (1974) - Olive Films

Hope that helps!

Count me in for shelling out a pretty penny on Day One for The Tingler and 13 Ghosts.

Shameless plug: the historic movie theater I'm involved with will be showing The Tingler this October...in Percepto! We will have 20-30 seats wired up for the brave souls willing to risk it...

Okay, now that looks like a complete list, unless one wants to include his producer-only credits. Completely forgot about Shanks.
