Why does everyone always assume it has to be Shout? VEI is the one picking up stalled CBS/Paramount titles so why not make the suggestion to them?

Just curious why you would want Shout to release all that stuff CBS already put out.

I do have one suggestion. Trackdown through Timeless.

Ben,

Some of the titles on your unreleased list are not that well known and I would be surprised to see Shout or VEI put the time and money into releasing them. With that said, why hasn't Paramount/CBS released my holy grail...Ben Casey, on DVD ??

I'm tired of seeing at the end this logo:

I'd much rather see something like this:

That's why. . . Shout! seems to have a better track record preserving older logos than CBS/Paramount these days.

Come to think of it, one of the Webster releases did have that Blue Mtn. logo on it; I think it was the first one (1983-84).

Yes. . . but have you seen this variation on one of those sets, where "Television" is on the peak? I think it was season 2, 3 or 4.

Actually, no; I had not owned any of the other Webster releases, so I had not had the opportunity to see that.

The Paramount closing logos are my favorite, and are hardly used on DVD.
They are indeed hardly used; the only ones that I recall having it are those of MacGyver, The Brady Bunch, and Mission: Impossible, in addition to Webster.

They are also used on the Lucy Show, Here's Lucy, Season 1, Happy Days, Season 1, Police Squad, and the original Season 3 DVD set of Star Trek, TOS.

I think the first 5 on your list are pretty good (although the Immortal and Longstreet pilots were 74 minutes, not 2 hours). After that, I think a better list might be:

The Defenders

The Nurses

The Great Adventure

Desilu Playhouse

The Reporter

Slattery's People

For the People

The New Breed

Breaking Point

Ben Casey

Greatest Show on Earth

The Good Guys

Run Buddy Run

The Smith Family

To Rome With Love

Governor and JJ

Whirlybirds

December Bride

Our Miss Brooks

Paper Moon

But as a previous poster pointed out, why Shout Factory when VEI is the one licensing a ton of CBS shows now?

Plus Coronet Blue, somewhere high on that list.

And as I said earlier, it's about the original Paramount Television closing logos and how they were all removed in favor of the CBS Television Distribution logo on recent prints of the shows I mention.
