Even if I spoke German, I still wouldn't buy it because I never watch movies with dubs.OliverK said:I guess I am lucky to speak German in this case
In Germany.haineshisway said:Well Cinerama "presents" is not exactly being in true Cinerama. Nothing in the poster says "IN Cinerama". I've never heard of the film. Where is this Blu-ray available?

Maybe someone like Cohen has picked it up for release?
As I am learning German, I'm tempted. Either the dubbed German or the German subtitles because they talk so damn quick!!OliverK said:Why is that? You could choose German subs with the original French soundtrack.

Good practise I think.

That same year LA FAYETTE and THE FLAMING YEARS were shown at the Coliseum in Cinerama. i decided at the time not to go to see them but now wish i had as the English language versions have disappeared. From what I recall, reviews were not good for any of them and none of them played for very long. I understand that all three were only shown in Cinerama in London.
Although I missed out with Tulip, I did see the other two with school friends. La Fayette was partly subtitled and then dubbed which was a bit of a mix. Watching subtitles in Cinerama was a bit like a tennis match but with your head going up and down as well as side to side.Douglas R said:THE BLACK TULIP was indeed shown on the Coliseum's huge Cinerama screen, in 1965. It was indeed Doug.Douglas R said:I'm reminded of another film which was shown only in London in Cinerama; RUN, RUN, JOE (1974), which I had the misfortune to see and which was a 70mm blowup from 35mm. Produced by Carlo Ponti and made in Italy this comedy/thriller lacked both comedy and thrills and was one of the most tedious films I've ever sat through. Understandably, I think it was the last film to open in London as a Cinerama film.
