This is some GREAT news!!!

Hope they aren't DNRed but I'm quite optimistic as far as other than Disney companies are concerned.

(thanks to Akijama at bluray.com for noticing)

This is major cartoon news here.

The funny thing here is that we got everything except The Pink Panther cartoons, which are the best cartoons produced by Depatie-Freling. I mean, we're getting The Dogfather over Pink Panther? We get The Inspector cartoon series before the actual Sellers films? What kind of crazy world is this.

However, the release of The Dogfather is probably the best news here because it is the only one here that was never released on TV and thus the rarest in this entire announcement. Sure, it has a reputation for being rather poor, but very few were able to watch this cartoon do so in its entirety. Now we can!

Also Misterjaw is and interesting inclusion. That was only made for TV and we're actually getting 2 discs, also in HD? Who would have thunk it?

MGM is holding on to all Pink Panther related films and cartoons to release themselves to cross promote with the new feature-length animated Pink Panther film tentatively due sometime next year.

At least we're getting somewhere. MGM has dangled that carrot since 2011. Hopefully the end is near.
Hopefully we're getting somewhere. When it comes to MGM and catalog releases (other than those they license out), I don't take anything for granted.

Carrot. Lol. How about dangling that Diamond. Carrot makes me think of Bugs Bunny.

Has there been any updates to this release news?
From what I know, this has been pushed to 2016 because they wanted to attend to some matters..

Thanks for the update, Konstantinos. I hope all of these are eventually released. This an interesting list of cartoons - I would have never guessed they would have been coming out.

I do get concerned though when things start getting put off for later.

Oh, I found the exact quote by MisterLime:

They'll be coming out in January or February. We want to include an extra or two on each and couldn't get it done it time. There's also some other stuff that needs to checked and rechecked.

I still wonder if the audio will be with the laugh track or not.

Most people I think want the non-laugh track, but I personally am not sure what I would like best.

(well, the ideal of course would be to include both and we could choose)

Apparently the shorts when released theatrically didn't have a laugh track, but it was added later for TV presentation.

I grew up with the "laugh version", since I saw these on TV.
