I watched this last night on my projection system. Great looking film! Every shot was beautifully composed and the sets were gorgeous. An unusual part for Christopher Lee, but an absolutely perfect role for Peter Cushing. Watson didn't have a lot to do, but he was very good too, not too goofy. Great color and pristine film elements.

I'm watching it right now. Yes, beautiful color, very filmic, and a terrific production. I'm enthralled! Believe it or not, this is the only classic Hammer production that I've never managed to see. And so far, I'd say it's one of the best, on a level with DRACULA & THE TWO FACES OF DR. JEKYLL. Definitely one of Terrence Fisher's greatest achievements,

This would make a fun double bill with Hammer's "Cash On Demand", in which Peter Cushing and Andre Morrell have a much different relationship (no spoilers here!).
