Gomer Pyle USMC: Complete Series, CBS 2015 DVD release (1 Viewer)

Well I was perusing the Wal-Mart new Couer d'Alene, ID and came across this DVD set for $34.95 for all seasons of Gomer Pyle USMC. I couldn't pass it up as I've been wanting this on DVD (would have liked Blu-ray but no chance of that happening).

Looked on the label, it is the new CBS release for 2015. I know there was a earlier release (don't know the exact year) of the complete set (for over $60) as well as the individual seasons.


Have to wait till I get home to view this on the big screens but anyone here with knowledge and opinions of what I can expect, please drop me a line here.





Well my TV on DVD/Blu-ray now looks like


Gomer Pyle, USMC (DVD): Seasons 1-5


The Twilight Zone (Blu-ray): Seasons 1-5


Star Trek TOS (Blu-ray): Seasons 1-3


Star Trek TNG (Blu-ray): Seasons 1, 4, 6...looking to complete the set when Amazon has one of its big sales.

Have Seasons 1-5 on DVD.


The Partridge Family, DVD Seasons 1,2,3.... Seasons 1 & 2 is recent Mill Creek re-release. Had to get Season 3 cheap. Season 4 is expensive. Waiting for fall for Mill Creek's Seasons 3 & 4 re-release.


Hardy Boys / Nancy Drew Mysteries, DVD Season 1: Now looking to get S2 & S3.


Six Million Dollar Man: DVD Seasons 1 & 4. Looking to complete this set sometime in the future.


I Dream Of Jeannie, DVD Complete Series (includes the colorized Season 1, which I kinda like).




on deck (looking to buy sometime soon): Lost In Space (Blu-ray), Batman (blu-ray), Brady Bunch, Complete Series, Shag Carpet Edition.

I have it, too. Its a good deal, but I heard it's just a re-press of the same discs from the earlier releases which means some of Jim Nabors musical numbers are cut in episodes where he sang.
