Netflix streaming squashed? (1 Viewer)

Tonight I was attempting to stream some movies from Netflix via my Panasonic blu ray player. There has never been a problem with this. But tonight something really odd occurred. It appears that the images are somewhat squashed. For example CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, which is normally and correctly shown at 2.21 is now more like 2.35 or 2.55 and yo can tell that the image is flattened. This is true of both HD and SD streaming and things like THE GENERAL, at 1.33 are windowboxed inside a larger frame. I don't think I have changed any of my settings which might have affected this. I did check to see what happens if I stream using my laptop, but I am not seeing this distortion there.

Is anyone else seeing the same thing with their Netflix streaming?

Thanks.

I'll have to look tonight but I don't think anything has changed in my settings. I checked to see what things looked like and Vudu and Cinema Now do not have this issue. So it is something specific to Netflix. Not sure what kind of settings are available to adjust on the blu ray player in terms of streaming for Netflix. I haven't been able to locate any. When I play a blu ray disc, it is fine. The view for the tv is set at Full, so nothing should be altering the image. All other items attached to the tv (cable box, vcr, dvd player) are displaying correctly. Hope it is not time for a new blu ray player.

It was an obscure setting on my tv which somehow got switched on... I am guessing during a power failure last week. Thanks for all the responses.
