Hello, I'm new here and I have a question to ask. I'm transferring some old home movie videotapes for my Grandmother to her pc using a Roxio converter, but I have a few questions to ask about it, since I can't seem to find info anywhere else, and I'm kindof new to this technical stuff;
1. Does Roxio compress anything, even if it records in the highest quality? My files tend to be around 50 minutes long, around 3 GB per file. Can Roxio make an uncompressed DV file of my recordings? The video files play fine on a burned DVD, media player classic and regular windows media player, and it says the video files can play on tablets and phones to.
2. Can Roxio also record the audio in 16/44.1 or 16/48? There's an audio setting, but the booklet and the program doesn't say anything about it.
Thanks to anyone who helps, I'll appreciate it!
