The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

The Specials

--More Twilight Time releases this week.  Pre-order them  HERE.

--I'm afraid Best Buy is not listed--again--in this week's RoundUp.  It's NOT necessarily because, though, I didn't get a flyer.  It's because I'm traveling this weekend and don't have access to my local paper and I'm not finding any BB info anywhere online.

--Target this week has Fifty Shades of Grey on sale:  $16.99 DVD/$19.99 Blu.

--Target is also advertising a list of 4.75 DVDs which contain $5 Theater Cash to go see Pitch Perfect 2 in theaters.  The films are Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables, The Best Man and Snow White and the Huntsman.  Separately, Target is also advertising prices of $4.75 on the Pitch Perfect DVD and $10 on the more recent release of the same film with also the Sing-Along version.

--The following TV on DVD releases are on sale this week at Target:

$12.99:  The Wire: Season 1

$14.99:  Big Bang Theory: Season 7, Supernatural: Season 9, Vampire Diaries: Season 5, Arrow: Season 2

--Target Odds and Ends: None to report.

I'll pick up Jamaica Inn at some point but nothing this week.

Still Alice, while very depressing, has an excellent performance from Julianne Moore and is worth a rental.

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

A nice early present for us with the RoundUp! Thanks, Mike!

Looking forward to the Twilight Time releases but otherwise nothing of note for me review-wise.

I will have Jamaica Inn once the price is a little more reasonable.

Blackhat was a decent Michael Mann thriller that was almost completely overlooked. It's not prime Mann by any means but still worth a watch. I'll probably pick it up when the price drops to the sub-$10 range.

Other than that, just three classics from TT for me this week - A Man For All Seasons, Mississippi Burning & Hombre.

Thanks as always, Mike!

Thanks, Mike!

I preordered Jamaica Inn and that looks like all for this week, but what is the difference between the remastered and definitive editions of Battlestar?

The press release is here http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Battlestar-Galactica-Definitive-Collection-Remastered-Collection/20514

The gist of it is that the remastered version has 16x9 cropped versions of the episodes (for people who don't want bars on the side of their TV screen) and the definitive edition has both the cropped version and the correct 4x3 version of the episodes.

Anyone know anything about the Jurassic Park set? I've got the old DVD set from 2003 and if it's Super Extra Cool, I might upgrade here soon.

I went to Best Buy today to pick up the MAD MAX sequels and was shocked to see several great deals in there. Picked up THE OMEN COLLECTION for $10, the LETHAL WEAPON set for $13 and they had several Fox classics for $7.

Sounds like clearance has started. My Best Buy media sections have shrunk to less than 4 short aisles for both CDs and DVDs.

I was in BB last night and not a lot actually caught my eye. The media section is the same as it has been for the last two years or so.

If the Lethal Weapon set is BD, they're only the theatrical versions, none of the director's cuts made it to Blu...just FYI.
