I have a JVC MX-GT90 stereo system, and the receiver has stopped working. Basically, I'm looking for a cheap alternative in which to hook up my speakers.

I came across these mini-amplifiers on amazon, like the RioRand RR2020N+ Tripath Class-T Hi-Fi Audio Mini Amplifier.

I know very little about how speakers work, but I'm assuming I can buy two mini amps and hook each to a speaker. The problem is that there's all this Power and Impedance stuff that I don't want to get wrong.

My question is: would a couple mini amps work well on my speakers, or do I need something bigger? Or is there a better alternative?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum btw - I would agree with the above. It would appear that the back of the unit has speakers terminals only.
