I understand your frustration, and all of those are some of my favorites, but they are getting my money for those that they release that I do like. Lest poor sales of their releases convinces them to abandon the whole MOD concept. With all the doom and gloom about the decline of physical media sales, I figure I'm gonna do my part to convince the studios that there are still a lot of people out here who WANT physical media to continue.

I also think this is a good choice because these genre films sell well and this was a solid and interesting 1980s horror film...with as a major bonus Albert Finney, who is always just fantastic in whatever he does.

I will certainly pick this up and it will, I hope, sell quite well for Warner. I also have a list of many titles I hope Warner will get to on blu-ray and Local Hero is, of course, top of the list but I am hoping they will get to these titles. It would be wonderful if the archive blu-ray program saw a major uptick in releases and they put out 4 or 5 titles a month and then perhaps, like the Kino releases, there would be a great deal of diversity and more people would see the titles they have been waiting for.

I agree with Reggie.....these horror/niche genre titles seem to be big sellers for TT, Kino, etc so I'm not surprised with this release. I saw this MANY times on HBO in the 80's, not a huge fan of it, but I will purchase in support of WAC in hopes I'll get some of my wishlist titles down the road from WAC (Sergeant York, etc).

Well, if that is the way you feel, maybe you should ask them (politely) to consider releasing them. Greystoke, the legend of Tarzan, was a good

release in my opinion and I only purchase what appeals to me. Unless people ask them to release movies, how do they know what is wanted?

Believe me I have asked for these films many times. Past films I have asked for----THE GREAT RACE---WIND AND THE LION---FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD---- FEARLESS---GYPSY---- have been released' so maybe I need to give them more credit for what they have given us.

Considering WOLFEN is better than a number of films on that list, I'm very happy that Warners is releasing it before some of those. :)

When I caught this in a theater in 1981, I was disappointed that no "werewolves" turned up in this film. But since then I, along with apparently many original viewers, have gained an appreciation of its much more original concept. Michael Wadleigh, who so uncannily brought us the brilliant WOODSTOCK in 1970, only directed one non-documentary film...this one.

It would have been a major coup had Warner Bros. been able to acquire a commentary for this release, but I think he's 76 now, so maybe he'd have had problems recording one.

A no-brainer Archives release for me, featuring one of James Horner's earliest scores.

One of my most watched horror movies of the 1980's. So glad Wolfen is coming to Blu-ray at last.

I'm also a fan of James Horner's music score.
