Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Universal's 'Furious 7' raced past the $1 billion mark globally in a record 17 days on Friday and is holding as the No. 1 film in the world for the third week in a row. The international weekend estimate is $167.9M for a massive 19-day international total of $858.3 million. Combined with the U.S. estimate of $294.4M, the worldwide total is an astonishing $1.153 billion and becomes Universal's highest grossing film worldwide in its 102 year history."
