This film has a 0% tomato meter rating but my wife loves the first one so i took one for the team.

Guess what? PBM2 is just as dumb and silly as the original, but no worse. I hazard that despite the critical consensus, if you liked the first you'll actually like this as well.

From the scathing reviews, it sounds like this movie does not improve upon a condemned movie theater with tumbleweeds blowing through the parking lot.

I vaguely recall enjoying the first one when my wife and I netflixed it, so we decided to go see this on Saturday and we thought it was quite a bit funnier than what we remembered of the first, thought it's been at least 4 years since we've seen the original. This one had us laughing hard pretty consistently. Yeah, you can say it's silly and dumb, but in a good way. I'd give it a B+

The family rented this one this weekend. The first one I recall was vaguely funny/amusing. Not stellar comedy, but passable.


This one was pretty much 100% phone it in/milk it for a quick buck kind of drek. I found it completely cookie cutter and not remotely funny. It's a shame because I do like Kevin James, but this was a complete waste of time and talent. I can totally see why it had/has 0% at Rotten. It is just plain awful.


Now ask my kids (7 and 13) and they'd probably say they thought it was hilarious due to some of the slapstick "humor".


I'd easily rate this one an F. Totally forgettable.

There's art... And then there's Blart.

I laughed out loud a few times (I'm easily amused). And got a "kick" out of the ending. But that's about it.
