“The App Store ignited an app ecosystem that is simply amazing, forever changing the lives of customers and creating millions of jobs worldwide,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “We’ve got incredible new technologies for iOS and OS X to share with developers at WWDC and around the world, and can’t wait to see the next generation of apps they create.”

My guess: What's the epicenter of your home entertainment? The living room! What needs an App store? Apple TV. Looks like a bunch of ATVs/Mac Minis in that image if you ask me.

I'll be there for Alt Conf. This is year there is a third possibility - Layers - http://www.bringyourlayers.com

I'm very tempted, but I can't clone myself to cover everything. I am figuring that Alt Conf, by offering a separate room with live WWDC video will give me as much as I can absorb as is.

If you don't actually need to meet with the iOS engineers I'd just wait for the streams/downloads of sessions. They are invaluable for sure. Layers and Alt sound like much more fun to attend in person.

Jeff Williams just confirmed on stage at the CODE conference that native watch app SDK will beta launch at WWDC with consumer roll out in fall. Developers will have deep access to sensors etc.

Also of note: At the Code conference Jeff called the automobile "The ultimate mobile device".

2 years at Code TimCook called the wrist "pretty interesting". Food for thought.

At the rate CarPlay is being adopted, Apple might have a car out first.

My current lease is up in November. Was looking forward to a 2016 vehicle with CarPlay. Looks like that isn't going to happen.

Gonna be big egg on face if that is wrong for NYT, gonna be big egg on Apple's face if true. Native Watch Apps is not enough of a juicy update for WWDC.
