Two+ hours of the most absurdly over the top, non-stop action I've ever seen in any film (and we all know the competition is withering), followed by the absolutely classiest tribute to a deceased cast member I've ever seen done by any film. The last 10 or so minutes is worth the price of admission alone.

$15.8 million in Thursday previews. Weekend projections possibly as high as $140 million.

Yup, it was an over-the-top mess, but I enjoyed it as it gave me non-stop action with some comic and emotional moments mixed in. The ending was a very nice tribute to Paul. I'll miss seeing him in future films even beyond this series.

I'm assuming the movie actually is (presumably in large part to the people who directly worked and were friends with Walker) but the marketing department are the sickest bunch of vultures I've ever seen. The trailers were the most tasteless, exploitative cash-in on a man's death I've ever seen come out of Hollywood.

Terrific action film and the best of the bunch by far. Non stop over the top action and humor. Great start to the summer season.

This series actually improves the more over the top it gets. It is a loud, dumb, fun movie.

I hope there were plenty of ass-shots during the touching Paul Walker tribute at the end...it's what he would've wanted.

(insert clip of underwater-scene from Into the Blue set to tasteful "In Memoriam" music)

The FF franchise is more Mission Impossible nowadays, but cast chemistry is what makes the crazy stunts even more enjoyable in the ever-more-increasingly preposterous plots, over-the-top action, and the eye candy sprinkled in for good measure once again. Loved every minute of it. Hahahahaha!

Great tribute to Paul Walker at the end.

I give it 3 stars or a grade of B.

That's the key for me: The cast chemistry saves the film from all the implausible stuff. I'm usually a stickler for that but not in this case. There is a good-naturedness to it all that is redeeming.

From BoxOfficeGuru.com:

The records are almost too numerous to mention, but here are a few. It was the 9th biggest opening weekend of all-time and the 3rd biggest outside of the summer movie season (behind only the first two Hunger Games films). Internationally it took in an estimated $240.4M which is the 3rd highest international opening behind only Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Which makes its worldwide opening of $384M the 4th highest global opening weekend behind Deathly Hallows- Part 2, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Avengers. It set new records for the biggest opening in the month of April (destroying the $95M Captain America: The Winter Solider made just last year) and is the biggest opening weekend in the history of Universal Studios.

Just saw this at a new local theater with 4K projection and Dolby Atmos (with several Atmos trailers shown before the feature).

A fun over-the-top ride and a well executed film with not a boring moment.

An extremely well done ending (in view of Paul Walker's death) which even critics are liking.

Saw it today. Most definitely over the top action! But thoroughly enjoyable as a "popcorn flick". Just check your brain at the door if you have difficulty suspending disbelief during a movie.

The Booth Bijou gives 'Furious 7' 4 out of 5 stars.

Finally saw this last night. I liked it....LOVED the ending. Got me a little choked up. Really touching.

The movie itself was way over the top indeed. Like WAY over the top ;) The car going thru 3 buildings? LOL yep. :)

But yeah like others have stated. Its' good and better than expected and one can truly feel the love this cast has for each other.
