I have a Yamaha RX-V765 receiver and have owned it for a few years now (i know its older) My problem is that all my speakers are working fine when I do the tests but I find the rear speakers are very low. I would like to notice more background noise like foot steps or background gun shots etc. I can hear stuff through the speakers if I am right beside it but when I am in the middle of the room I cant seem to hear the rears. I have tried using the microphone to automatically set up the speakers and I have tweaked it so it would add more volume to the rears but it didnt seem to help. I feel like there is a setting I dont have enabled to make the sound better.
I have Paradigm Atom Monitor v6 bookshelf speakers as my rears. Anyone have any suggestions? I have had this issue since I got this surround sound system about 5 years ago
Thank you in advance
