The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks for the Roundup, Mike.

I'm not sure what is exclusive about Best Buy's copies of Interstellar, but the press release clearly states that the IMAX film cell will be included and it doesn't say anything about that being a retailer exclusive.

On the subject of Interstellar, I do plan to get that, hopefully from Target so as to get the steelbook, if they have any. I've struck out enough times with them that I'm not really counting on it, though, and will go with the regular edition from someplace else if Target doesn't have enough steels for me to get one.

I'd also really like to see the silent space version of Gravity on its Diamond Luxe edition, but $18.49 is too much for a blatant double dip, so I'll think about it when it gets a price drop.

If you own the iTunes version of Gravity they updated the bonus features so you now have the silence in space version.

Interesting, Jake.

I actually kinda sorta thought that might be the case. But the BB Sunday flyer only says "Exclusive Content" without hinting at all as to what it might be. Since they clearly showed the IMAX film cell sticker on the front cover I "assumed" that was the bonus content.

Interstellar when it drops in price and I might pop into BB to see what's on their $4.99 rack. Nothing really sticks out in my head as a "must get" if I find it (which means I'll walk out with five or six titles...) The newest TinkerBell movie and Mockingjay Part I will be much cheaper in a few months, so I have no problem waiting for price drops on both of them.

Thanks for the RoundUp, Mike.

I'm supposed to be getting Wild for review, and we also requested the definitive Joan Hickson's second volume of Miss Marple adventures, but I'm kind of doubting that we'll get it. Usually those review copies arrive well in advance of street date.

I'll be picking up Interstellar and Wild (I don't care for most of Witherspoon's movies but she was great in this one) and at some point, I'll get Veep and Silicon Valley (the current $30 price for 8 episodes is crazed).

Thanks for the prices, Mike! :)

David and Lisa, Cries and Whispers, Dickumentary(already seen it, but a filmmaker like this deserves as much encouragement as they can get), Lucio Fulci and Shanghai for me.

Interstellar and Imitation Game can both wait till I can get half priced used one.

Target's website has Arrow Seasons 1 & 2 for $14.99 each both as blu-ray and blu-ray/DVD combo. What has to be done for Amazon to price match?

I think that BB has some content that is exclusive to their version, not the cell.

Well, yes.

In fact, tonight on television I saw an ad for Interstellar at Best Buy and they actually showed a bonus disc with "exclusive content" (but no further description--along with the IMAX film cell.

I'll probably get that at Target since it is a steelbook and the film cell and many target gift cards.

Walmart is advertising the blu-ray of Interstellar for $18.96 in their weekly flyer.
And it is. Except for the special packaged version which is $23, it includes a photo book.

I got to Target today in mid afternoon and luckily they still had Interstellar steelbooks up by the cash registers, mixed in with regular copies. I got one without even having to go back to the main entertainment section. It does have the film cell.
