Ghoulies are (naturally) some sort of creatures that appear when one messes with things that ought not be messed with.
I know.
It was Winston Churchill who spoke immortal words akin to "One should ever use a preposition to end a sentence with."
For those who appreciate ultra low-budget films with cute little puppet creatures doing dastardly deeds, Luca Bercovici's Ghoulies may be your cup of tea.
Presumably a low-budget answer to Joe Dante's delightful Gremlins, Ghoulies, along with Ghoulies II (1988), Ghoulies go to College (1991), and Ghoulies IV (1994) take a place among films presumably created for foreign sales.
For those who feast on such things, Scream Factory's double-bill Blu-ray of G and GII is a quality release. Except for some shots in the first film, which appear a bit unsaturated, both films are nice transfers from what appear to be decently made IPs. Audio is fine.
