Ghoulies are (naturally) some sort of creatures that appear when one messes with things that ought not be messed with.

I know.

It was Winston Churchill who spoke immortal words akin to "One should ever use a preposition to end a sentence with."

For those who appreciate ultra low-budget films with cute little puppet creatures doing dastardly deeds, Luca Bercovici's Ghoulies may be your cup of tea.

Presumably a low-budget answer to Joe Dante's delightful Gremlins, Ghoulies, along with Ghoulies II (1988), Ghoulies go to College (1991), and Ghoulies IV (1994) take a place among films presumably created for foreign sales.

For those who feast on such things, Scream Factory's double-bill Blu-ray of G and GII is a quality release.  Except for some shots in the first film, which appear a bit unsaturated, both films are nice transfers from what appear to be decently made IPs.  Audio is fine.

I'd love Critters and Critters 2 on blu. I believe these were Sony home video releases, so I don't know where that puts them in the realm of possibility of release to blu.

I can live with Critters 3 & 4 on DVD only.

Warner released the four films in a 4 Film Favorites DVD set, so I assume they have the rights to them all.

Great!

I'd also like Critters, Munchies, and Hobgoblins on BluRay.

Please, not Hobgoblins. haha Some things simply aren't meant to be seen any more clearly. Every detail you miss out on is a BLESSING.
