Something I brought up in THE FUGITIVE thread that I thought deserved a topic for discussion:
I've noticed that when a TV series is revived in the form of a reboot, remake, or sequel, it is nearly ALWAYS on a rival network, and I believe the list is pretty extensive.
I'll start by listing a few and let others chime in with more.
THE FUGITIVE aired on ABC, it's re-airings around the time of the movie were on NBC, and the Tim Daly reboot aired on CBS.
DARK SHADOWS was a staple of ABC daytime, but the prime-time remake aired on NBC.
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE aired on CBS for seven years, but its 80s reboot aired on ABC.
A recent example: THE ODD COUPLE originally aired on ABC and now a reboot has shown up on CBS.
Can you think of others?
