Where is the blu-ray for this title? As far as I know it never saw a VHS,BETA, LASERDISC or DVD release. What is the problem with Columbia Pictures? Does anyone know what the problem is with this title? Has it been released anywhere in the world?

Thanks, How is the picture quality? Seems like when it came out it was closer to 3 hours.

The picture quality is very good: anamorphic 2.35, excellent gray scale, good sharpness for a DVD. I think I've seen the uncut running time listed at about 170 minutes. This has the 4% PAL speed-up so it would probably run about 152 minutes if it were an NTSC transfer.

BBC2 HD showed this last Saturday, approx 150 mins. It looked pretty good to me. As an aside, they also recently broadcast 'The Night Of The Generals' in HD as well. Both are now on my hard drive.
