The Kuna fire department rescued a yellow lab who fell off a cliff down by the Snake River.

“She was in shock,” said Kuna Fire Department Capt. T.J. Lawrence, who scaled the wall along with firefighter/paramedic Sean Stear. “She’s got a lot of scrapes and cuts. She had some blood loss, so we were able to put an IV on her, keep her warm, and give her some oxygen.”

“She was really scared when we got to her,” Lawrence said. “Later... she was really happy.”

So does Mike Frezon know how to use rope and carabiners?

Dogs really need to be careful around the cliffs there.

Im taking a flyer here, but I edited the title. But I'm not up on Idahoan, so maybe "goggie" is slang for "yellow lab puppy who falls off cliffs" ;)

Dennis:

Nope. No rope and carabiners for me.

But we do take our dogs on the "easy" walking trails up in the Adirondacks. And here's proof with my old yellow lab Hudson at Gull Pond:

Thanks, Kevin. He was a typically handsome yellow Labrador retriever. His name is Hudson and he was a good boy. In that particular picture he was near the end of his life and a bit overweight. But in his prime...

And a perfect dog to have while raising two young kids. Rambunctious as a pup but settled down into a devoted, loving family pet.

I'm sorry you lost Hudson. He seems like he was a good damn dog.

Are the cat and dog in the other picture yours or just something you found online?

That was just an image I found online.

But here are my two current dogs: Kelly (our little spaniel mix) on the left and Ike (my golden retriever) on the right:

Kevin: If you're interested, I've been running this thread on my ups and downs of searching for a dog to fill the vacuum created in our household by the loss of Hudson. We end up talking about all things "dog" in that thread.
