Yamaha Aventage RX-A3040 - Has no AC plugs for other amps (1 Viewer)

Hi all,


I have recently been tasked with integrating a new receiver in to a rack of older components.


The old Yamaha receiver, that is being replaced, had an AC power outlet which was used for signaling the other amps to power on. The amps are older NHT and used an external power switching box, that was signaled from the outlet on the old receiver.


This new Yamaha has no AC outlets.


Can you recommend the best way to solve this problem?

Thank you, yes that's the term I was looking for, that helped a lot in my searches.


It looks like I need to cut the end off of a 3.5mm mono audio cable, to connect the Yamaha to the Niles switches.


The center is +, outside is -, correct?

Pretty sure yes. Been awhile since I had to use a wired connect(instead of TS at both ends).
