I noticed that CBS has gone on a complete series craze as of late. Since last November they have begun releasing complete series sets and so far through May they will have released 15 complete series collections. It appears they have shifted away from new releases to just re-releasing previously released content?!
Just for fun, I decided to compile a list of all the releases to see how many they end up releasing. These are the releases so far:
November 2014
Beauty and the Beast (re-packaged)
Charmed (re-packaged)
Family Ties (re-packaged)
Taxi
December 2014
Mork & Mindy
March 2015
Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.
Ghost Whisperer
April 2015
The Brady Bunch (re-packaged)
Frasier
MacGyver (re-packaged)
Matlock
JAG (re-packaged)
May 2015
Cheers
The Fugitive (re-packaged)
Rawhide
Walker, Texas Ranger
The Wild, Wild West (re-packaged)
June 2015
Laverne & Shirley
The Odd Couple
October 2015
Mission: Impossible (re-packaged)
November 2015
I Love Lucy (re-packaged)
Star Trek (re-packaged)
February 2016
The Andy Griffith Show (re-packaged)
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
Touched by an Angel
March 2016
Hogan's Heroes (re-packaged)

November 2016
The Lucy Show
April 2017
Hawaii Five-0 (re-packaged)
May 2017
Mannix
Vega$
The Streets of San Francisco
June 2017

Father Dowling Mysteries
November 2017

November 2017
7th Heaven
February 2018
Bosom Buddies
Duckman
The Guardian
War of the Worlds
June 2018
The Invaders
Other series that may see a complete series at some point:
Beverly Hills, 90210 (re-packaged)
Melrose Place
It appears as though they have taken notice of how much success Shout! Factory is having by going the complete series route. However, if they want to follow Shout! then I thnk they should release complete series sets of stalled shows not re-release stuff that has already been released before. Here are some suggestions for them as to what shows should see a complete series set:
Brooklyn Bridge
The Love Boat
Our Miss Brooks
Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, Bonanza, Gunsmoke & Happy Days should continue as season sets IMO since they have already released several seasons of the first two shows and more than half of the last three. Fans would be very angry if they just stopped and put out a complete series set.
