Cover Up, 1949, directed by Alfred E. Green, makes it to Blu-ray as a quality affair.

With an image harvested from what appears to be a nicely produced fine grain master, we have good depth, gray scale and grain structure.

Occasional (very) light vertical scratches give it the appearance that you're viewing an old 35mm print.

As good as the film looks, I'm not sure there's much of an audience for it on Blu-ray, because, as an entertainment, it fails at standing the test of time -- or possibly it was never that good back in '49.

I have now watched the blu-ray which looks very good and an excellent upgrade from the DVD. I really like this film which is a murder mystery set at Christmas.

Agree with Mr Harris' review concerning the AV but not his opinion of the film!
