A member in good standing of the AIP Roger Corman horror comedies of the 1960s, Mr. Corman's Tales of Terror falls at the mid-point of the series.  It leaves but a single title, The Premature Burial, to be released.

The "tales" are a trilogy, starring Corman comedy-horror A-listers, Vincent Price, Peter Lorre and Basil Rathbone.

Kino Lorber's new Blu-ray of the MGM owned property is a quality affair.  Everything seems to be in place.  Nice color, grain, a well-resolved image, good stability, etc.

A fun visit from '60s cinema.

This is my favorite of the Poe/Corman films — The Black Cat sequence is one of the best stories ever put to film.

Yes, I love this one. I was just a wee bit too young to see these films when they were first released, they were X certificate in England, you had to be (or look) 16, but by the mid-sixties I'd caught up with them all. I saw this on a double bill with The Pit & The Pendulum in a tatty old cinema in London's Hammersmith area. I have the UK box set & will start watching them all in order soon.

In a "few words" is right.

Isn't there anything more that could be said about this exciting bluray release?!

Of course I (well) know that the "main" review on it will be forthcoming by someone on staff.

Much of the budget was spent on red.

Excited to add this to the two volumes of Shout's Vincent Price Collection.

I watched the DVD of this on Halloween, and wondered how much better it would be on Blu-ray. Looks like the answer to that is MUCH better! I'm looking forward to getting this.
