I'm thinking of getting the German edition of Season 2, mainly because it will be pressed. Does anybody own any of the German releases and can comment on the quality, packaging, etc.?

I own the German editions of S2 and S3. S2 came in some real nice packaging (see attached photo) and it came as a complete season, unlike S3 which was split in two half-Season sets. As for the quality, no remastering was done, so the quality is basically the same as it was when the show was on in the 80s. I am currently working my way through S2, enjoying it very much. Amazon.de is now selling it for EUR 9.99, a real bargain.

Three cases in a box for the German second-season release: far different than we Americans got with an MOD keepcase release.

It seems pretty much everything has been answered, but just so you know for future references there's this great Falcon Crest website with a lot of info on pretty much everything FC. Here's a detailed comparison and review:

They also have some great interviews there and the latest info on the dvd release. Here's the latest update on S4:

Some pretty great news!
