Yes, I mean what did they nail a bunch of spies together to make a bridge? That seems messy and not at all as efficient as the usual bridge building materials.

From a marketing standpoint, I understand why they changed the title. St. James Place doesn't tell you anything about the movie and Bridge Of Spies tells you that it's a spy picture.

Me too....dumbing the title down for today's generation. St James Place had an air of mystery around it.

It isn't dumbing it down if that's how that particular bridge was referred to. The title is now more appropriate given the story being told.

Now they can repurpose Robin Trower's fantastically moody "Bridge Of Sighs" as an uber-cool 70's-style title song. It would sound great in a trailer, too.
