Not new to HT set-up, but not an expert by any means.
I pulled the trigger and I'm scheduled to receive my equipment this week.

Sony 65" 4k Display- xbr65x850b
Maranta receiver- sr5009
Floor speakers- Energy CF50
Center speaker- Energy CC10
Sub- Energy- ESW C10
Rear speakers- Energy CB5

Here is my question.
My set-up is going in my living Room which is a relatively small room about 12x10
My rear speakers need to be placed on my end-tables, making the distance about 5 feet from the center of the room.
Should I let auddessey (excuse the spelling) set the speaker levels? Should I manually adjust them? I don't trust my ears too get the best bang for my buck. Should I use Sound meter to measure the room, and adjust that way?

Thanks,
Rocco

I would do both.

Make sure you use a tripod for the microphone. Do not set it on pillows or books.

Also. Even if you move them later. Set the rear speakers on a book(decouple them from the table to keep vibration down).

Audiocheck.net has an entire suite of stuff. They even tell you which sound meter to get.
