need help with setup (1 Viewer)

Okay, here's what I have

2 amps
2 speakers & 2 sub's
2 x 8" sub's

At the moment 2 amp is powering the 2 speakers and 2 sub's in parallel. I want to use a seperate amp to power my 2 8" sub's and connect both Amos to the same music player. What do I need and is this possible?

Preamp with subwoofer control

Or

Preamp and crossover.

Okay. Say if I got either, how would they connect up, working with the setup I mentioned above?

Have no idea. What connections you got?

It would be more help to just tell us what you are working with.

It's not like every single thing ever made since the invention of the 1/4 phone jack in 1870 has always had the exact same set up in 145 Years...

Okay sorry, here.

1st amp is - Ekho RX1200 - I have 2 Ekho VX12s running with 2 Ekho vx12 subs in parallel.

The second amp I don't have just yet BUT this amp will be powering my 2 jbl sub's ( 4ohm, SVC )

For my music source I'm using a -numark MP103-

What I'm wanting to do is connect both my amplifiers up to the same music source also if possible get a mixer plugged up. That I do not have yet.

I have my sub's connected up into the 1st that I have as well with the ekho speakers in parallel. My sub's at the moment hit like there working as they should BUT not much sound is being produced which is why I wanted to get a 2nd amp to power the sub's.

Okay so let's say..

I have my 2 amps set up. I then buy this crossover unit. How would I use the crossover with the 2 amps as well as with my music source. Can you please explain how I'd set it up?

I didn't say, I've no experience I'm just wanting a system to build and keep. I just need assistance setting it up... Thanks for your help so far!
